What can we post here?
You can post anything you want as long as it is not illegal and not people. Things, ideas, and places (including professional services) are fine to post.
Will FindersTellers always be free?
All of the basic functions (having an account, being able to post listings, uploading at least 1 photo, ability to respond to postings, ability to
exchange messages with other members) will always be free.
However, some additional things (such as linking to other websites for advertising) will
come at an additional cost. If fees are to be incurred, you will be notified prior to the purchase and will have the option to not purchase the product
and/or service.
Can I be notified when someone updates a specific posting I am interested in?
Add the posting to your Watchlist (see next FAQ question
for instructions). Under My Account -> Profile, you can turn on e-mail notifications by checking the appropriate checkbox.
This way, whenever there is an update, you will receive an e-mail.
What is My Watchlist, and how do I use it?
You can flag any postings of interest to you. Any postings you flag will be shown to you in My Account. This
way, you can have a central location to view all of the postings you care about. To add a posting to your Watchlist,
simply view the posting and then click on (Add to my Watchlist) in the top-right portion of the posting. Any postings
which you post will automatically be added to your Watchlist.
What is the difference between Post Update and Post Response?
The Post Update option is available to the person who posted the initial listing. This option allows the user to
update his description. This description will be shown below the initial Description but before all responses. The Post Response
option is available to everyone. All responses are displayed beneath the Description and Description Updates.
Why are Places and Services in the same category?
When designing this website, it was very challenging to determine the appropriate categories. One of the biggest challenges
was the Services category. For example, where would you find photocopy services? Some people would consider
putting this into a separate Services category, while others may inrerpret this to be a location. To ensure consistency,
services and places were categorized together.
I got an e-mail from FindersTellers, but I am not sure if it is authentic. What should I do?
Forward any e-mails which you suspect may not be authentic to
spoof@FindersTellers.com.
